Sopa de Fideo (Mom-Approved + Loisa Flavor!)

Growing up, sopa de fideo was one of my favorite comfort meals. It brings back memories of cozy nights and warm bowls of love. Now, I get to share this classic with my daughters—but with a healthier twist. I swapped the typical seasoning packet for Loisa Sazón, which is made without artificial dyes, fillers, or anything fake. Just real ingredients and bold Latin flavor.

This version still has all the comforting vibes, but it supports our health too. Add a handful of kale or some tofu cubes, and you’ve got a balanced, nourishing meal everyone will love!


🥣 Ingredients

  • 3 medium tomatoes

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • ½ onion

  • 1 tsp Loisa Sazón (for salsa)

  • Salt + pepper to taste

  • 1–2 tbsp avocado oil (for toasting noodles)

  • 1 tbsp Loisa Sazón (for soup base)

  • 1 pack fideo noodles

  • 2 cups water or vegetable broth

  • Optional: handful of kale or greens, tofu cubes for protein


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the tomato salsa: Blend tomatoes, garlic, onion, 1 tsp of Loisa Sazón, salt and pepper until smooth. Set aside.

  2. Toast the fideo: In a pot, heat avocado oil and lightly toast the noodles until golden brown. Stir often so they don’t burn.

  3. Add flavor: Sprinkle in 1 tbsp of Loisa Sazón and a little more salt + pepper. Stir well.

  4. Add salsa: Pour in the blended tomato salsa and let it cook for 2–3 minutes.

  5. Simmer: Add 2 cups of water or broth. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes or until noodles are tender.

  6. Boost the nutrition (optional): Add chopped kale or greens and tofu cubes for extra protein and fiber. Let simmer 2 more minutes.

  7. Serve and enjoy! Best served warm with love.
